One day in June 2016, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory. Looking round various production processes of the factory, he was particularly satisfied with the fact that the technical group of the factory made and installed equipment with its own efforts by fully displaying the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance. Highly praising the factory as a textbook example in Korean-style modernization, he politely asked the accompanying officials to tell the factory officials, technicians and workers and the relevant units that contributed to its modernization that he was satisfied with them and extended thanks to them. And he repeatedly said that field trips to the factory should be organized widely. After a while, he said that all production processes from raw materials feeding to packaging of products were fully equipped with the advanced facilities designed and made by its own efforts, adding with affection that the factory should inform the visitors that he praised the facilities of the factory for looking fine like handsome men.
